The OKC Zoo’s MONARCH MADNESS 5K / Fun Run is an officially timed, family-friendly run benefitting monarch butterfly conservation!
The course wraps around Zoo lake and ends inside the Zoo, mimicking the monarch’s epic 3,000-mile winter migration. Runners will soar past Niagara Falls, Chicago, Nashville, Oklahoma City, San Antonio and flutter into Mexico.
We encourage participants to wear their wings as they represent the migratory monarchs in this spectacular event!
This race will kick off the annual OKC Zoo Monarch Festival, also Saturday, October 6.
