Bring the forest to your classroom – one journal page at a time!
Go hands-on with Project Learning Tree’s activities and resources through the practice of nature journaling.
PLT’s award-winning activities engage K-8 students in hands-on learning about trees, forests, and the broader environment–both inside the classroom and outdoors.
In this extended workshop at the Myriad Botanical Gardens, educators will explore nature journaling as a tool for observation, inquiry, and reflection across science, ELA, art, and social studies. Participants will receive PLT’s Explore Your Environment K-8 guide and gain practical experience using it to support outdoor learning, interdisciplinary instruction, and standards-aligned teaching.
