Ready to discover the daytime superheroes hiding in your backyard? Join ecologist and insect scientist Dr. Emily Geest for a fun, interactive talk about the insects that help keep our flowers and gardens thriving. Then, head into the park for a hands-on bug exploration activity.
***7 p.m. – Nighttime Pollinators: Moths of Oklahoma
Meet Zach DuFran, the “Mothman of Oklahoma,” and learn about the incredible diversity of moths found throughout the state. Following a short presentation, explore interactive bug-viewing stations and get expert tips for identifying fascinating nocturnal insects. Zach will also be distributing free copies of his original “100 Common Moths of Oklahoma” poster!
