We have installed a Monarch garden at Nicoma Park Elementary with a grant received from OKC Zoo and OKC Myriad Botanical Garden. Our garden is installed and contains multiple plants to attract Monarchs specifically as well as other pollinators.

Pollinator/Monarch Garden planted in my backyard April, 2020 during the Safe at Home days of Covid 19 crisis. Migrating monarchs touched my life during a difficult time years ago. I built this garden to support them on their journey. It contains 2 kinds of milkweed, monarda, butterfly bush, blue aster & cone flowers. This is a butterfly garden that was planted by the District staff and USDA-NRCS Resource Conservationist in Stilwell, OK. This is to continue in our efforts to educate the public on monarch butterflies along with other conservation education next to our outdoor classroom.
Students, staff and community partners built a beautiful butterfly shaped garden at our school as a landing station and habitat for the Monarch butterfly.

Wildflower/pollinator plot along Hwy 75 just north of 61st St. exit. Initially planted 1 acre plot in 2006 in cooperation with Oklahoma Native Plant Society Color Oklahoma grant. We have expanded the site to nearly 1.75 acres since that time.
Entrance is into the Stoney Creek neighborhood and will be listed and posted on the Nextdoor app.
