Become a Pollinator Hero + Monarch Tagging

Sat, September 28, 2024
10:30 am - 12:00 pm

Monarch butterflies are beautiful, fascinating creatures that are experiencing a tragic population decline. Oklahoma is directly in the path of the migration corridor for these butterflies, so we are perfectly positioned to help them survive and succeed. As a bonus, when we help the monarchs, we help other pollinators as well!

Special guest speaker Kim Bishop is raising awareness about monarch butterflies while providing information and resources on how to help the monarchs and other pollinators.  During the program we will discuss the monarch’s range, diet, and life history.  We will also review different Monarch conservation efforts. After we learn about our pollinator friends, we will have a chance to tag monarchs that are on an epic migration through Oklahoma on their way to their overwintering area in Mexico!

Please register each person from your group who will be attending this program.
