Instructor: Stephanie Jordan
With our struggling monarchs potentially being listed as threatened under the Endangered Species Act, and the overwintering numbers far from where we would like them to be, your help is needed more than ever. Come learn about how you can prep your yard to be a welcoming, resilient, migration recharging station for the southbound travelers this fall, while drawing in lots of other fluttering friends, creating mini carbon sinks and improving the health of your soil.
Instructor: Stephanie Jordan is the Pollinator Educator and Outreach Coordinator for the Oklahoma Monarch Society where she leads educational outreach activities for the Okies for Monarchs program. In this role, she has galvanized communities across Oklahoma to engage in pollinator conservation and create habitats for monarchs and other pollinators. She is also a Certified Pollinator Steward through Pollinator Partnership. When not engaged in community outreach, she can be found visiting the extensive pollinator gardens in her urban farming neighborhood, in search of cool bugs.
