Myriad Botanical Gardens’ annual Oklahoma Gardening School is the state’s premier annual horticultural symposium designed for home gardeners and professional horticulturists, garden designers, and landscape architects. The Oklahoma Gardening School showcases local and national experts in gardening, plant selection, and garden design. Their illustrated talks and Q&A discussions help participants learn how to create and maintain more beautiful, sustainable, and successful gardens in Oklahoma. This year’s theme: More and more research demonstrates that being in nature fuels our overall mental and physical well-being. Gardening is one of the best ways to actively engage with nature and reap these benefits on a regular basis.
This year’s OKC Gardening School will help you further understand the powerful link between gardens and well-being. Speakers will share practical ways to create beautiful, thriving, and low-maintenance gardens. Accessible design strategies along with specific tools and equipment to make gardening less physically demanding, at any age, will also be presented.
You will leave motivated and knowledgeable about starting a new garden or enhancing your home garden for increased happiness and health.
