ARDMORE – Spend a full day outdoors exploring and caring for the Cross Timbers landscape. The morning features a guided walk-and-talk at a leisurely pace along property trails, with experts from the Oklahoma Biological Survey discussing local flora, ecology, and land management. A picnic lunch is provided at noon, followed by an afternoon tree-planting activity in the bottomland forest using saplings from Oklahoma Forestry Services. Tools and gloves will be provided; sturdy footwear is recommended.
Registration is required and space is limited. Travel to the site (approximately 10 miles south of Ardmore) is the responsibility of attendees. Maps and directions will be emailed to registrants prior to the event. The field day is weather-dependent, with a rain date scheduled if needed.
