Join Monarch Joint Venture for an 8-week course to learn more about monarchs!
On each Wednesday evening from May 12 – June 30, participants will learn about various topics including monarch biology, migration, threats, plant and insect identification, research and conservation, community science opportunities, and how to establish pollinator habitat. Participants who finish the course will have the opportunity to become a part of a network of monarch ambassadors for outreach! To receive a certificate of course completion after the short course is finished, please email Rita Morris (rita@monarchjointventure.org)
To go accompany the 8 classes, we are holding three virtual Q&A sessions with our Executive Director, Wendy Caldwell! We encourage participants to join us to ask their questions live. Wendy will also be addressing questions you ask in the chat during the class sessions. Don’t miss these opportunities to receive guidance from the Executive Director of MJV! The Q&A sessions will be held on May 27th (1-2PM), June 10th (4-5PM), and July 1st (4-5PM).
The course will be taught by MJV staff: Katie-Lyn Bunney (Education Coordinator), Laura Lukens (National Monitoring Coordinator), Jennifer Thieme (Regional Monitoring Coordinator), Kiley Friedrich (Agriculture Program Coordinator), Christine Sanderson (Communications and Operations Manager), Rita Morris (Office and Outreach Coordinator), and Wendy Caldwell (MJV Executive Director). Our staff are all experienced facilitators with deep experience and passion for monarchs. All sessions will be held virtually via Zoom.
Registration options are below. If you would like to attend, but the cost of registration is a barrier, please contact Rita Morris (rita@monarchjointventure.org).
