Join our park Naturalist at the Discovery Cove Nature Center to celebrate the nationwide Parks for Pollinators BioBlitz with a guided hike and a pollinator presentation about native bees.
The guided hike begins at 8:30 am where you’ll learn about the Parks for Pollinators BioBlitz and how you can contribute as a citizen scientist all month long. After a brief intro to the BioBlitz, we will set off on a hike watching for pollinators. Starting at 11 am, our Naturalist will give an informative and fun presentation all about native bees.
For the hike, please come prepared for a low-to-medium-difficulty trail by bringing the following:
– Water bottle
– Hat
– Comfortable closed-toe shoes
– Bug spray
– Sunscreen
– Light colored clothing (easier to see ticks)
The guided hike will take place weather permitting. In the case of lightning or severe weather, the hike will be cancelled and rescheduled.
