My girlfriend and I are planting a Monarch Waystation Approved garden this year. We have a total of just over 75 varieties of plants and flowers we will be growing in about 1200 Sq ft of space, many of which satisfy the different requirements for the Monarch Waystation Certification, including a large number of Butterfly and Soulmate Milkweeds.

I work for the City of Yukon and will speak with our Mayor and ask him to sign the mayor’s monarch pledge. I host educational events about Stormwater and would love to include something regarding monarchs.

My five year old has cultivated a love for insects that I have come to support and nurture. For Christmas I told her we will be making an even larger habitat and garden for our pollinator friends.

whenever I was little I was obsessed with monarch butterflies, I was known as the butterfly girl. I already have the Okies for Monarchs license plate and love it dearly. I plan on starting a pollinator garden this spring and summer.
