I have a container garden and I am making an effort this year to plant nectar plants with all my veggies. I am also expanding the garden beds at my mom’s house and devoting the front bed to monarch waystation

I want to pay it forward to the Monarchs so that my future family members are able to enjoy the migrations on our 50 acres near Robber’s Cave State Park as I do today.

I have had a few milkweed plants come back in my yard for the past three years but this year I started many more from seed to add to the backyard garden. I am also including more native nectar plants in the garden this year. Last year we only had 3 Monarch cats. Hoping to host a lot more this year.

I began last year with planting milkweed in my backyard. This year I will again plant it in my backyard but also at our lake house at Grand Lake.
