I have been fascinated with these royal butterflies since I raised my first on nearly 32 years ago. Now, with their rapid decline, I feel the need to act. I currently have 100’s of milkweed plants ready to plant once the weather breaks. I want to do so much more than simply maintaining a waystation. I want to help those that run monarchwatch and those that need assistance. I am the VP for Lab Rescue OK so I know quite a bit about non-profits, volunteers and fund raising.

I have a nonprofit called Adansonia wildlife , and my favorite programs are all about bugs!! This year I decided I really want to talk about my passion project which is monarchs! So I am going to make it my mission to educate more about monarchs this year when normally I don’t talk about butterflys at all!

I’ve been involved with raising milkweed and Monarchs for 3 years. I’ve been collecting seeds and sharing them with others. I will be giving 2 programs in Ponca City: April 19 for Master Gardener workshop at Pioneer Tech and a garden club on April 25.
This past December I went to 2 Monarch sanctuaries in Mexico. I’m very pleased to find this website!
