Our Garden club initiated the Bartlesville Mayors for Monarchs city project. We have had a forum. We took a display and presentation to kids, various groups, the Farmers Market, garden clubs, the county fair. We submitted several newspaper articles. We also started Bartlesville Mayors for Monarchs on Facebook to share info with people. We have planted, more nectar and milkweeds in our gardens.. We have plans start a butterfly garden at one of our schools and plant nectar flowers at another. Our next forum will be April 12 th at the Bartlesville city library. Our club will be helping with the Oklahoma State Garden Club sponsored Wildflower Workshop June 1st and, 2nd in Bartlesville .

I just returned from a trip to El Rosario monarch sanctuary in Mexico where the monarchs overwinter in the mountains. It was fantastic to see millions of monarchs!
